تعد 'الحداثة' معيا رًا لكل ما هو علوي وسلطوي؛ إذ ترفض الإقرار بالغيبيات، وتعتبر الإنسان هو المركز
والإله، في حين تقدس 'ما بعد الحداثة' اللا مطلق، اللا ثبات، وتمنح الهامش اهتمامها الكلي. أين ذهبت وهشمت

BEN BRAHIM, Amel
This study investigated the effectiveness of the brainwriting strategy in enhancing writing proficiency among fourth-grade middle school Algerian learners. More specifically, the study had two main objectives: firstly, to examine the impact of using the brainwriting strategy on writing proficiency, and secondly, to gauge the learners’ perspectives on the major difficulties they face in writing tasks and their opinions on the utility of the brainwriting strategy. Thus, it was hypothesized that implementing the brainwriting strategy would lead to improved writing skills among the learners.

Idioms are part of both language and culture. The present research work examined the influence of intercultural communicative competence on the comprehension of English idioms among second-year English students. Specifically, it aimed to determine the source of difficulties in understanding idioms, provide insights into which aspects pose a greater challenge for English students, and examine the effect of the existing intercultural communicative competence on the process of idiom comprehension. Theoretically, it was hypothesized that there is a correlation between students’ intercultural communicative competence and their idiom comprehension process

BOUKABOUR, Chada; ZITOUNI, Nesrine; CHAIBEDDRA, Samira( supervised)
The present research work attempted to investigate students’ procrastination in EFL writing
by quantifying the extent to which they delay their writing tasks and identifying the common
factors contributing to this behaviour. It also sought to shed light on some possible solutions
to overcome this problem. This descriptive study involved 74 third-year students and their
teachers of Written Expression at the Department of English, University of Jijel. The
quantitative approach was adopted in this study and the data were collected using two
questionnaires. The student questionnaire contained an adapted version of the Tuckman
Procrastination Scale (1991). The Tuckman Procrastination Scale was mainly employed for
assessing academic procrastination in general, but it was altered in the student questionnaire
to particularly measure procrastination in writing
