Résumé:
Developing the writing skill is a challenging task . Hence, EFL teachers use different
strategies to enhance their students’ writing .This descriptive research aims at investigating
the strategies used by EFL teachers for the improvement of students’ writing skill.This study
took place at the department of English at the University of Mohammed Seddik Ben Yahia,
Jijel. Henceforth, the research is based on the assumption that EFL teachers use different
strategies. To examine the validity of the hypothesis , a questionnaire was used to investigate
this research problem. The teachers’ questionnaire was designed and administrated to ten
(10) EFL teachers of written expression ,who were randomly selected at the University of
Mohammed Seddik Ben Yahia in English department. Accordingly, the analysis of the results
revealed that the majority of teachers use of both instructional and motivational
strategies
