Communicative activities are crucial for enhancing learners’ communicative competence and fostering effective communication in diverse social and academic contexts and promoting meaningful and authentic language use. This study aims to explore the role of various communicative activities in developing learners’ communicative competence and promoting active engagement in the classroom. Using a descriptive methods’ approach, incorporating quantitative questionnaires, the research investigates teachers’ and learners’ perspectives and experiences with communicative activities. The sample for this research consists of 5 highly experienced EFL teachers who specialize in oral expression and 60 third-year LMD English students at the University of Mohamed Essedik Benyahia. The results highlight that communicative activities, such as group discussions, debates, and role-playing, significantly improve learners’ communicative competence by providing valuable opportunities for practice and feedback |
