Many English learners encounter challenges in producing written texts, especially in writing courses. However, nowadays, technology plays a vital role in educational contexts.
Thus, digital tools like MindMap-AI have emerged to enhance and promote students'writing performance. This study investigates the impact of digital mind mapping on improving third-year EFL students ‘writingat the Department of English, Jijel University.
The research was conducted with 30 participants;the data were collected using a mixed methodology with a pre-xperimental design using a pre-test and a post-test to compare students' writing performance before and after the intervention of MindMap-AIdigital tool.
A structured survey was also used to collect students' perceptions toward using MindMap-AI to improve their writing. These tests were evaluated using an analytical rubric model to measure content, organization, vocabulary, mechanics, grammar, and punctuation. The findings revealed that MindMap-AI improved students' post-test scores, emonstratingthat this tool had a positive impact on their writing. This indicate thatintegrating such
technologies into the curriculum may support students' writing skills and boosttheir general
academic development in the futureas well asencourages educators to use digital mind mapping toolsintheir EFLteaching practices to help learners better plan and structure their essays while enhancing their critical thinking skills.
