Résumé:
This research study examines the attitudes of Master One student of English at the University
of Jijel towards distance learning of oral communication skills. The primary objective of this
study is to investigate the effectiveness of online courses in enhancing Master’s students’ oral
communicative skills and to explore their attitudes of this learning method, particularly
among working or resident students. To this end, a questionnaire consisting of 21 questions is
distributed to 60 students for data collection. The results indicate varied perceptions of
distance learning on students’ oral proficiency. Overall, learners expressed satisfaction with
this method, highlighting its effectiveness in enhancing their oral communication skills. Their
acceptance supports the integration of distance courses into their learning process. Distance
learning provides more opportunities for students to engage in natural language practice,
which is the key to improve oral proficiency. Therefore, integrating DL into Algerian
universities would elevate the quality of teaching and learning
