"Investigating English as a Foreign Language Learners’ Attitudes towards the Use of Electronic Dictionaries to Enhance Vocabulary Learning"

Abstract

The current study aims at investigating EFL learners’ attitudes towards the use and effectiveness of electronic dictionaries. To accomplish these aims, two research tools, a students’ questionnaire and a students’ interview, were used to gather data from third year EFL learners at the Department of English at Mohamed Seddik Ben Yahia University during the academic year 2023-2024. The questionnaire was administered to 60 students out of 236 and the interview was conducted with 08 of them. The findings revealed that the learners have positive attitudes towards the use of electronic dictionaries as a learning strategy and perceive them helpful
