Résumé:
consumers need to establish effective fermentation techniques for probiotic biomass production.
Production of probiotics should be based on the cost of nutrient substrates and other parameters. To
reduce this cost, it is desirable to use low-cost raw materials.
This study was conducted to valorize date waste in order to improve biomass production of
Lactobacillus plantarum G l using date extract as carbon source. The culture medium was optimized
using statistical experimental design of Plackett-Burman. A two-level Plackett-Burman design was
adopted to screen the most important nutrients influencing biomass production, which showed that the
date extract, yeast extract and peptone were the most significant factors
