Good pronunciation helps in establishing a successful communication, whereas; poor
pronunciation may lead to a misunderstanding and a break in communication. The
present research work investigates the second year English students pronunciation of
the sounds /d/, /p/, /t/.The main concern of this research is to see whether the learners
pronounce these sounds in a correct way, and to shed light on the main factors that
may affect their pronunciation. This study is based on an interview which is
administered to second year English students to get information about their
pronunciation of the /d/, /p/, /t/ sounds. The analysis of the interview reveals that the
students pronounce the /p/ sound in a correct way, however; the same students
mispronounce the /d/ and /t/ sounds |
