dc.description.abstract |
Multi-component reactions are reactions involving at least three compounds for the preparation of a product. They allow the rapid and efficient formation of a large library of complex molecules from simple substrates, they represent a tool with high added value in the pharmaceutical field. The Hantzcsh reaction is among the most important of the multi-component reactions, which has been the subject of hundreds of publications. The 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives exhibit a heterocyclic unit which has been part of many organic synthesis reactions. Particularly due to the broadening of the practical applications of 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives they are used as pharmaceutical agents due to their various potent biological and pharmacological activities (calcium blockers, inhibit the growth of different tumor cells ... etc.)
