dc.description.abstract The present study investigated teachers’ attitudes towards using idioms as a strategy to raise learners’culturalawareness.It also aimed to find out whether teachers use English idioms in the teaching learning process.In order to achieve the aims of the study,a questionnaire was administered to 20 teachers of English at the department of English at Mohammed Seddik Ben Yahia University ,Jijel.The participants teach different levels and modules and were chosen randomly.After analyzing the data generated by the questionnaire, it was deduced that teachers relyed on English idioms as a strategy in the teaching process.The results also revealed that the participants in this study hold positive attitudes towards teaching English idioms to raise learners’cultural awareness fr_FR
