dc.description.abstract The present study attempts to investigate the impact of culture teaching on Master I EFL students‟ cultural awareness. In this study, the researchers‟ main aim is to uncover the role of culture in language teaching, and to invite teachers to include it in the teaching programs so as to foster the students‟ cultural awareness. To effectuate this aim and to test the validity of the research assumption which states that culture teaching develops students‟ cultural awareness; two questionnaires were distributed to both teachers and students at the department of English at Mohammed Seddik Ben Yahia, University. The analysis of the data obtained from the two questionnaires revealed that though culture teaching is still marginalized while teaching the English language, both teachers and students are aware of the pivotal role of culture and its impact on the students‟ cultural awareness.
